Welcome to the 2023 Season of Hope!

As we begin to approach the 2023 holiday season, the Community Action Council of Howard County (CAC) wants to partner with YOU and the incredible Howard County community to bring joy, security, and hope to families in need.

For many in our community, the holidays can be extra challenging and present families with additional financial stress. Many of our neighbors struggle to choose between paying rent, affording nutritious food, managing an increased energy bill resulting from cooler weather, and creating a magical holiday for their children. For those facing financial insecurity, the holiday season may feel disheartening.

Here’s how you can get involved this holiday season!

We are asking for your participation as we work to ensure CAC can remain a reliable resource for our neighbors in need, lending a helping hand up and out of poverty by providing access to nutritious food, weatherization services, rental assistance, and education for Howard County’s youngest learners.

You can support the Season of Hope movement through the gift of your time or treasure. Whether it be volunteering at our Howard County Food Bank, providing holiday gifts for students through our Adopt-a-Student program, or creating meal kits for local families, your contribution makes a difference!
