Dear Freestyle Junior National Competitors,

Congratulations on qualifying for the 2023 U.S. Freestyle Junior National Championships presented by Steamboat Mountain School and ID One! The Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club, Steamboat Ski Resort, and our entire community welcome you to Ski Town USA. We hope you have a safe, athletically fulfilling, and fun week in our mountain community.

We are fortunate to have two incredible venues for training and competition in Steamboat. When you check in on Monday and at the opening ceremonies on Tuesday, you will be at the home of Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club at Howelsen Hill. The competition will take place at Steamboat Ski Resort on the Travis Mayer Mogul Course on the Voodoo trail, where recent SSWSC Olympians Olivia Giaccio and Jaelin Kauf trained and competed. This event will feature an age-specific course for each age group running side-by-side on the trail.

Our Steamboat organizing committee and generous sponsors have assembled an incredible week of athletic events and social activities. We hope you will join the festivities on and off the hill to celebrate your accomplishments with your teammates, competitors, friends, and family—you deserve it!

Steamboat Mountain School

Steamboat Mountain School is a K-12 independent school with boarding opportunities for high school students. As a college preparatory school, we offer students the opportunity to crush it on the hill and in the classroom.
