The Immediate Recognition Program begins on the date of your choice in October 2024 and runs through February 7, 2025. The program is designed to immediately recognize employees for safe practices. We recommend you distribute SERC Scratch-off Tickets to participating department supervisors. When a supervisor identifies an employee practicing safety during the workday, they can award a scratch-off ticket. Tickets are randomized, with 1 in 5 winning a SERC Tumbler. We encourage you to make available the Nomination Form for supervisors to complete in support of recognized employees deserving of a higher-level honor, regardless of whether they have a winning scratch-off ticket (see SERC Part 2).
Who is eligible to participate? You may designate all staff to be eligible, or you may limit participation by department. Outsourced departments/staff are not eligible.
Remember: Your organization can develop its own criteria to award safe employees — criteria that best suit participating departments. The Immediate Recognition Program is your program to administer as you see fit for your organization. The goal of the program is to help you promote safety!
