Welcome to the 2025-2026 School Year

August 11, 2025

Dear Families:

We hope all Kenston families enjoyed a relaxing summer break. We are gearing up for the start of the 2025-2026 school year and look forward to reconnecting with students on Thursday, August 14, the first day of school. We also would like to welcome all of our new families, including our youngest Bombers in kindergarten!

While the students have been away from the building, plenty of activity has taken place to prepare for the new school year. The custodial and maintenance teams in the district have done a wonderful job cleaning, repairing, and making enhancements to the campus as well as our building. Our teachers are busy preparing for student arrival. As the final days of summer wind down, please take a moment to review a few important details listed below.

Complete Annual Census Verification

If you have not already done so, please complete the required annual census verification as soon as possible. This is where you can update contact information, select transportation, complete the field trip permission slip, and other related tasks. To complete the Census Verification, access it through the Infinite Campus app or visit Infinite Campus. Once you are in Infinite Campus, select More, Annual Census Verification, and Existing Student Registration.

Meet the Families

On Wednesday, August 13th, from 8:30 am to 9:30 am, you and your child(ren) may stop in to visit the classroom, walk the building, meet the teacher, and drop off school supplies any time during this hour.

Parent Orientation (Adult-Only Event to learn more about your child's classroom, curriculum, and other important details)

Tuesday, Aug 26, 2025

Grades 2 and 3  5:30-6:30 pm

Grades PreK, Kdg, and 1  6:45-7:45 pm

A few other important items:

  • Teacher Assignments were released via Infinite Campus on Wednesday, August 6th. We will not be mailing postcards this year. The postcard will be left on your child’s desk to be picked up at Meet the Families. Parents are asked to add AM and PM bus numbers to the postcard, and string the card for your child to wear for the first week of school.

  • Information regarding transportation is available in Infinite Campus. You can continue to check this information up to the first day of school as adjustments are made. We strongly encourage all families to check the Transportation Information Section the day before school.

  • Lunch Menu- Families may choose to pack a lunch or access a hot lunch from our cafeteria for their child. The lunch prices for the 25/26 school year are as follows: $3.55 for full student lunch, $.50 for milk only. The lunch menu can be found on our website also. Lunch money can be added online through Infinite Campus before the start of school. If you prefer to send a check or cash once school begins, please place the payment in an envelope clearly labeled with your student’s name and grade. If you have any questions about lunch money or lunch accounts, please reach out to Andrew Mendez, RDN, Director of Nutrition Services at 440-543-3121.

  • All students who are riding the bus are assumed to be transported home each day. If your child is to be transported to a daycare, and you have not already done so, please complete the census verification that indicates where your child is going at the end of the day.

  • Medication Drop Off- If your child will require medicine to be kept at school, we are asking that you drop off medications during the following drop off times: Monday, August 11th- 9:00-3:30 or Wednesday, August 13th- 9:00-3:30. All medications must be in its original packaging or container. The necessary forms should be completed in advance. The forms can be found on our district website as well as here

  • The playground at Timmons is undergoing a complete replacement. While we are excited for the new playground, we will be using an alternative plan while we wait for installation. The installation of the new playground is anticipated for the last week of August through the first week of September. Our bus loop, and specifically the playground area, is off limits and closed to the public.

We hope that everyone has had an enjoyable summer, and we will see you soon!

If you have further questions regarding the opening of the 2025-2026 school year, feel free to contact Timmons Elementary at 440-543-9380.

Sincerely,
Dave Rogaliner
