Announcements

Year in Review

In 2023 ATR served over 4,000 participants across our 5 service areas.

  • Approximately 26% of ATR participants enrolled in Career Services.
  • 87% of ATR participants who enrolled in Career Services completed job readiness or job training programs.
  • 39% of ATR participants who completed job training programs reported employment.
  • We invested a total of $6.7 million into support services for SOR 3 participants.

What an incredible year! We look forward to continuing to impact the lives of our ATR participants this year.

In Case You Missed It

Effective 11/2, AHP will no longer require coordinators to request program extensions for their participants. Please see Kelly’s email from November 8th for more information.

Training Opportunities

The final training of 2023 explored the landscape of substance use in Massachusetts, multiple pathways to recovery, and what an individual’s recovery journey could look like. We discussed resources on how to access treatment and recovery support services in MA. Click below for the recording.

Did you know that all of our Career Services providers participate in yearly audits? Each year, ATR providers undergo an audit that focuses on 5 core components:

  • Confidentiality Safeguards
  • Competency Based Documents
  • Falling Colors Procedures and Intersecting Processes
  • Job Placement Support
  • Job Placement Outcomes

Conducting a yearly audit allows for a truly collaborative partnership in which feedback can be shared and goals can be created for the year to come.

Heads up! Our February Training Series will include an overview of the audit process. Mark your calendars for Thursday, February 15, and join us from 3-4 p.m.

Coordinator Spotlight

Rosa Cruz, ATR Care Coordinator

Hi, my name is Rosa. I was born and raised in Springfield, Massachusetts, but I live in Chicopee. My friend Jackie brought me to ATR as a shopper and I fell in love with it, since my passion is helping others just like me!

I worked at the Gandara Center as a Recovery Coach and at Behavioral Health Network (BHN) as a Recovery Specialist before coming to IHR. Helping people every day, no matter what, motivates me in my job. Plus, I love my co-worker.

One thing that my co-workers wouldn't know about me is that I admire them for their hard work!

For fun, I love to workout and roller blade. I also take care of 4 puppies: Amores, Theodore, Bella, and Big Boy.

Thank you, Rosa, for sharing a little bit about yourself and bringing your passion to this work.

Today's Question:

Do you set New Year's resolutions?

Today's Scenario:

How would you handle a participant who has not been compliant for most of their time with ATR aside from spending their basic needs, and on Month 5, they want to enroll in P2E, a job training program and Rapid rehousing?
