Bronco Family Academy
RSVP today for our first Bronco Family Academy event of the academic year!
At Cal Poly Pomona, our learn by doing motto is about making sure students are learning in an active environment, where they are surrounded by a support group. This parent workshop will be on Zoom and will feature Signature Polytechnic Experiences (PolyX). They'll discuss how students can get the learn by doing experience through a PolyX and will specifically highlight the Learn Through Discovery Projects Hatchery. The Hatchery is open to all students, freshmen through seniors and for all majors. Join us to learn how your student can participate in an activity that has been shown to improve student success, increase your student’s sense of belonging, get experiences valued by employers and graduate schools, and receive funding while learning.

Our Commitment to Your Students
While the return of in-person class options is an exciting milestone, we recognize many students may be feeling apprehensive, anxious or concerned about in-person class components. Students who feel anxious and wish to seek resources can always reach out to Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) for support. Your student's health and safety have remained our top priority throughout the course of the pandemic, resulting in the implementation of multiple strategies and protocols to mitigate risk in compliance with CDC, state and county guidelines. Read the full message to students from Provost Levine and VP Gonzales.

Weekly Testing Begins
Weekly public health testing is required for all students and employees who come to campus, but individuals who have verified their vaccination via MyHealthPortal are exempt. Those that are required to test will receive an email (see screenshot of a sample email) to schedule an appointment. If anyone comes to campus any time during the week — Sunday through Saturday — they must complete their test by Friday of that week. If they aren’t coming to campus for one particular week (not going to class, accessing campus facilities, attending in-person activities), they don’t need to test that week and don’t need to schedule an appointment.
The Public Health Testing Site is located at the CLA Paseo, which is next to the CLA Tower. It’s open Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

For my safety and the safety of the broader community, I am now working remotely and am not on-campus. However, I can still be reached by email, phone, and/or have the ability to conduct virtual Zoom meetings during my regularly scheduled working hours.
