Who's that Titan?

Meet Dr. Angela Rowley, IMSA's Principal and Chief Academic Officer. Dr. Rowley brings extensive experience as a school administrator and K-12 educator to IMSA. She has earned an Illinois Superintendent License and an Illinois General Administrative License for teacher growth and development. Before coming to IMSA, Dr. Rowley served as Principal of Fred Rogers Magnet Academy, where she created and opened a new STEM Magnet Academy, designed the STEM-focused curriculum, wrote and received over $1 million in grant funding, and led educators on new adventures in STEM education.

Earlier in her career, Dr. Rowley worked at IMSA as a Resident Counselor, Hall Coordinator, and Admissions Counselor, giving her a profound understanding of our students' academic and residential experiences. Most recently, Dr. Rowley served as the Director of Statewide Educator Initiatives at IMSA, providing curriculum resources and professional development to teachers across the state. Her extensive experience working with IMSA students and faculty enables her to create a supportive environment for students to live and learn.

Trailblazing Titans

Jordan Henry '25 is making a difference in the health and safety of residents across our state! Jordan has played an integral part in introducing legislation to help combat the opioid epidemic and save lives. With the help of Jordan's data collection and research, State Representative Anna Moeller introduced House Bill 1910, which aims to provide opioid antagonists, such as naloxone, to public libraries and allow trained library personnel to administer the life-saving drug.

Regarding Jordan's work, Rep. Moeller stated, “Jordan’s desire to help people in need is a powerful example of how one person, regardless of age, can make a genuine difference in society. I give credit to her for not only bringing this idea to my attention but having already compiled pages and pages of research on the matter.”

Jordan's advocacy work recently took her to Springfield, where she testified in front of the Public Health Committee with Rep. Moeller. The bill passed the committee and will proceed to a second hearing before consideration in the House and Senate.

Jordan recently appeared on WGN News where she spoke about her work on HB1910.

The FRC Robotics Team, Titan Robotics, represented IMSA on a global stage at the World Championship, held in Houston, Texas. Only 600 teams worldwide are invited to attend this prestigious competition. This was IMSA's first time returning to the World Champs since 2012!

The team faced fierce competition and rose to the challenge, achieving an estimated world ranking of 503 out of over 3,690 teams! This makes them the highest-ranking robotics team in IMSA history!
