Were Not Our Hearts Burning Within Us

The painting “Walk to Emmaus” has been a favorite of mine for years. When I do my rosary walk, I pass by a huge cottonwood on the gravel road and think about that image. Confession time, I am a klutz and I have to watch where I walk. The path can trip me up if I am not careful. I can imagine the disciples were probably doing the same thing when Jesus joined them. Talking and discussing the scripture with Jesus their hearts began to burn.  We feel that when we return home from our LDCCW gatherings. There is a sameness in faith we all feel comfort in.

64^th BIENNIAL CONVENTION SUMMARY

I want to thank everyone who attended the convention. Despite the tornadic weather, we had a wonderful celebration! Our Lord tells us that, “where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:19-20) The Holy Spirit was truly in our midst and blessed us with beautiful music, delicious food, informative speakers, and outstanding leadership. The following is a summary of our income and expenses:

Faith Sharing Book Club

Welcome to the exciting journey of deepening your understanding of faith! We will start to explore our beliefs and challenge ourselves with the question, "Are we truly maximizing our potential in service?" Let's begin to examine with an open heart and get ready to uncover new insights and inspire positive growth within our LDCCW. 

We will begin June 9, 2024. The zoom meeting will open at 6:30 pm for fellowship.

The study will begin at 7:00 - 8:00 pm.

Thank you all for your time and efforts as you bring the work of the LDCCW SPIRTUALITY COMMISSION TO YOUR PARISHES. Here are some areas of focus in the upcoming months. 

Reminder, first and foremost of our need to foster our own spirituality before sharing with others. It is difficult to give what you do not have. I would like to propose for the next two years will be for each of us to grow in our prayer life.

Summer is here, or will be shortly, everyone’s attention turns to summer activities and fun in the sun. As PCCW’s we tend to take the summer off and there may be a shift in service projects and activities.
