The Paul K. Longmore Center at The Arc logo, with the tagline Knowledge | Inclusion | Power and San Francisco.

We are excited to share the first edition of the Paul K. Longmore Center newsletter.

This new space will help us continue the conversations that begin at our events while highlighting disability culture, advocacy, leadership, storytelling, and community. Through event recaps, interviews, resources, and opportunities to get involved, we'll explore the ideas and people shaping the future of disability justice.

To launch the newsletter, we're looking back at Let's Flip the Script on Disability, the inaugural Lois Curtis Lecture. Whether you joined us in person, attended online, or are just discovering the conversation, we invite you to explore highlights from the event, meet our panelists, and listen to the discussion.

Listen to the Conversation

Missed part of the discussion or want to revisit it?

We've adapted the event recording into a podcast-style episode so you can listen or watch at your convenience. Captions are available.

Podcast-style video of a panel on disability representation in film and media.

We've also created an event page featuring highlights from the discussion, key takeaways, panelist resources, recommended films, and more.

Image features a pencil-style portrait of a man, Paul K. Longmore, against a solid black background. The man appears middle-aged with short hair, a beard and mustache, and round eyeglasses. He is smiling gently and his head is slightly tilted to one side, giving a friendly and approachable expression. The drawing is rendered in grayscale with fine shading, giving it a hand-sketched look. He appears to be wearing a jacket over a high-neck or turtleneck-style shirt. Text reads: The Paul K. Longmore Center at The Arc San Francisco. Tagline below reads: Knowledge | Inclusion | Power.

Introducing the New Paul K. Longmore Center Logo

During the event, we unveiled the new Paul K. Longmore Center logo, created by disability advocate and designer Parker Glick.

Thank you, Parker, for creating such a beautiful, welcoming, and inclusive design.
