Hello there, and welcome to the Mission Wise Launch Team!
It has been quite a journey to get to this point, and we’re excited to have you here to be a part of launching Mission Wise into the world.
When Mission Wise was released in 2021, the primary focus of our work was still on the many ripple effects of the COVID-19 pandemic that were affecting vulnerable children and families around the globe. Many churches were navigating new territory in a world still deeply impacted by the pandemic. Many countries were still closed to international visitors, so many mission trips were postponed, again. Let’s put it this way: it wasn’t the best time to launch a book about global church engagement...
But here we are! It’s 2023 and the time is ripe for launching this exciting resource into the world for anyone wanting to serve vulnerable children, families, and communities cross-culturally with wisdom, excellence, and dignity. We are excited to finally be sharing it with the world. Thanks for joining us in that effort - we're glad you're here!
First things first, your free copy of the book is available here. You can choose to read this PDF in whatever format works best for you, including the Kindle App (a free app to use on a phone, tablet, or other device). Additionally, we have the PDF available on Issuu for Launch Team Members to access. Please note that these files and links are for your personal use only as a Mission Wise Launch Team member. Please do not share them outside of this group.
As part of the launch team, you have a unique opportunity to inform the broader Christian community about this book and lead the charge toward change. With that in mind, we ask you to finish the book by the end of August and share it with your networks. We'd be very happy for you to do so in your own words, and we will also share some prepared draft text in case you'd like a running start. Stay tuned for that in the weeks ahead…
Second, we have created a private Facebook group for the Mission Wise Launch Team that will open on August 1. We will use this group to connect with you all, facilitate conversation within the group, and share additional content and resources for each section of the book. We will also share some personal reflections from the authors each week of August. Watch for future emails for additional details and your Facebook group link!
