Virtual Parent Information Sessions Are Scheduled for January


Virtual Parent Information Sessions have been scheduled for each school division. During these hour-long sessions, you will receive a comprehensive overview of The Governor's School program and gain insights into our admissions process. Additionally, there will be dedicated time to address any questions you may have.


Who Should Attend?


Everyone is welcome! While families of 8th and 9th graders exploring Governor's School will find the information particularly relevant, we strongly urge families of 10th graders planning to apply to attend as well.


When Will They Take Place?

College Planning Corner

Given the consistent high achievements of GSST students, our college planning approach is tailored to meet their specific needs. We are dedicated to informing students about exceptional opportunities available to top applicants, including honors programs and merit scholarships, and to assisting them in optimizing their chances of success.


Furthermore, we will keep you informed about local, state, and virtual STEM opportunities for students in 8th through 10th grades.


Currently, applications are being accepted for Technology Exploration Saturdays. Take a leap into the fascinating world of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The Technology Exploration Saturdays series promises an enriching experience and a glimpse into the exciting future of STEM. Technology Exploration Saturdays offers a three-part series of hands-on STEM activities for 75 Peninsula-area 7th and 8th grade students. The activities, as well as career planning sessions for parents, are hosted at Virginia Peninsula Community College, Canon Virginia and NASA Langley Research Center.
