July kicks off Miami Spa Month - A power push toward Wellness! |
Personally I love July, and not because it's my birthday month, although I might be a bit biased, but mostly because Miami welcomes Spa Month starting in July every year, which lasts through August. Spa Month marks the summer as even hotter in Miami and I don't just signify the temperature. Basically I refer to the many wonderful spa offerings and opportunities that are made available to the public from over 40 participating spas in the Miami and South Florida surrounding areas. Florida, well-known for its lavish spas that rank among the "Best Spas in America" and favored by many spa enthusiasts from all over the world, participate in Spa Month to promote wellness at their spas during the summer months of July and August. Miami, which is known for its luxury, provides exceptional spa packages that offer reasonably priced treatments to its locals and guests by making it possible for many, especially those on a budget, to take time out to indulge in the topmost standard of pampering and relaxation by visiting these spas. WELLNESS which is our credo and the heart and soul of our industry, opens itself up to encourage relaxation and self-care during Spa Month. Offers of great spa specials and wellness experiences, make spa visits at this time of the year very inviting and essential. |

Congratulations to our very own Linda Higgs, Vice Chair of the Advisory Board for 3 years with the Florida Spa Association, who has just accepted her new position as Director of Spa & Wellness at the new Auberge Beach Residences & Spa in Fort Lauderdale. Prior to this exciting new opportunity, Linda was the Spa Director at Shulas running a highly successful day spa since 2008. Formally she was the Director of Sales at the Don Shula's Hotel & Golf Club for nearly 10 years. After 21 years at Shula's Linda is now onto an exciting new venture as she takes on her new role at the extraordinary new Auberge property. Linda's capacity to direct her spa team with kindness and guidance has proven her professionalism and ability to succeed as a true leader. Her cheerful smile that we have all come to know and adore reflects her true love of life and people. We are extremely proud and thrilled for Linda!! |

Fingerprints stored in the Clearinghouse are retained for a period of five years from the date of submission. |
