Welcome Stewards!
We cannot wait to welcome this bright, inquisitive, and adventurous group of Stewards for Fall Semester 2020. This newsletter contains important information that will help you and your Steward prepare for the upcoming semester. In planning ahead, please note that we are asking all students to quarantine for 14 days before arriving on campus on Friday, September 11, 2020. All students will be required to present negative COVID test results prior to arriving on campus. We look forward to seeing you on move in day, Friday, September 11. As you review the following information, please note that I will be away on vacation with my family next week, so I would be happy to answer any questions when I return, but if you have urgent questions, please reach out to Dana directly at [email protected]. In addition, we were hit hard by the tropical storm this week, which knocked out our phone and internet, so if you have tried to call us, please reach out over email. |

Tell Us About Yourself
Please complete the Fall Semester 2020 Student Survey to tell us all about your favorite foods, your living habits, and what you are excited for during your semester at Steward. |

If you are sending your Steward with any medications, supplements, or vitamins, (including Melatonin), please complete the Medication Registration Form and bring it with the medications (original labels must be on bottles) to arrival.
Many families choose to send their students with spending money or a debit card (the Greenlight card or something similar is popular, since it is designed for kids with parent oversight and control). All spending money and debit cards will be checked into the office at arrival. Please complete the Spending Money Registration Form and bring it with you to arrival.

Packing For Your Semester at Steward |

Fall Semester will bring all types of weather. We expect to see very hot and cold days, rain, wind, and even snow! Stewards should be prepared to be outside in all types of weather for extended periods of time. Please review the Fall Semester 2020 Packing List in detail, making sure to bring all required items. We will not modify plans based on weather, except in the case of student safety. |

Stewards will have the chance to call home during the week. We encourage students and families to elect to use the dorm phones to call home; however, if you would like your Steward to have access to their personal phone during call home times, please indicate so on the Tech Use Form. Please discuss and review the form with your Steward before returning it to [email protected] by September 1, 2020. We are going to set aside time and encourage students to write letters to friends and family throughout the semester. Please send your Steward with a list of addresses, so they can send details of their adventures home. |
