Second eHUBS Newsletter | 8 April 2020
Welcome to the second eHUBS Newsletter
Dear readers,

Welcome to the second issue of our eHUBS newsletter!

The eHUBS project entered its second year of life and we can look back on one year of eHUBS that has seen a lot of activities and milestones achieved. In this newsletter, you will find the latest news from our project and read about one of the six eHUBS pilot cities and regions: Arnhem-Nijmegen.

eHUBS pilot cities are getting prepared to deploy the first eHUBS. At the same, t echnical project partners are supporting them in many of the activities that are crucial for a successful implementation of their pilot, such as: transport modelling for the selection of right location for eHUBS; the identification of positive business cases for eHUBS; behavioural change studies to design effective nudging campaigns towards end-users; the creation of digital interfaces to be incorporated at eHUBS pillars. The project has also been active on the networking and dissemination front, being presented at several local, national and European events and conferences on sustainable urban mobility.

As we all know, we are currently living exceptional times, and the COVID-19 pandemic is obviously having an impact on many of the project activities. eHUBS partners are currently evaluating risks and opportunities for eHUBS caused by this emergency, as well as designing strategies to limit disruption, especially regarding the deployment and future uptake of eHUBS. The initial plans of implementing eHUBS starting from this spring are therefore being reconsidered in light of the social distancing measures implemented by most countries. Furthermore, project partners are closely monitoring reports and analyses that study the possible future impacts of COVID-19 on shared mobility patterns from a travel behaviour perspective. The project as a whole is proactively preparing in order to promptly and effectively respond to the changed circumstances in the best possible way.

We wish you a pleasant reading!
