Welcome to the April issue of The Hubbub!

As you can see, we've added a coat of (digital) paint to our eNewsletter. Although the look is new, the goal is still the same - to connect you with all the great community development news and events across the state.

Thanks for staying tuned in to the important work of The Hub and our network of partners.

Hubapalooza. All Your Friends Are Going.
Don't miss Hubapalooza!
And if they're not, they should be!
For the first time, Hubapalooza 2015 will gather all the West Virginians doing exciting community development work into the one room.

Learn from your peers, hear from the experts, share ideas and network till your heart's content.

For just $25, (or free for community volunteers presenting a project!) Hubapalooza packs it all into one short day.

Is there an unheralded champion in your midst?

Jean Ambrose has long been a galvanizing force and committed leader of efforts to improve literacy and increase volunteerism and civic engagement in West Virginia.

So we decided to name our Champion of Community Development Award after her.

Now, we are looking to celebrate other West Virginians working hard to improve their communities. Know someone who deserves recognition for their work? Nominate them for the Jean Ambrose Award! Deadline is April 15.
Are you the change you want to see?
The West Virginia Candidate Training Academy  is a nonpartisan effort to increase the participation of local citizens in the decision-making that impacts them.

Whether it be school boards, county commissions, city councils or at the State House, there are lots of opportunities for locals to step up and be a part of decision making in West Virginia.

This Candidate Training Academy is organizing a series of Candidate Training Sessions across the state later this year, for people who want to learn what it takes to run for office.
