Academy Centre Learner of the Month
Our learners of the month are learners who are studying full time courses with us, who stand out in their class. From outstanding progress, to smashing their personal targets, if you as a learner are doing this, it will be noticed!

Birmingham:
Congratulations to our learner of the month for July, Courtney Harrison! Courtney is a Beauty Therapy learner with us in Birmingham, and has achieved this award for always being polite, friendly, and her consistent effort to go above and beyond what is expected of her! Congratulations Courtney!

Coventry:
Congratulations to our learner of the month for July from Coventry, Ellie Healy! Ellie has achieved this award for her fantastic exam results (achieving over 85%), and for her overall improvements since joining in January. This really is some fantastic growth. Well done Ellie!

Induction Weeks
Our Inductions Weeks took place this month, with all of our centres buzzing with new fresh faces, preparing themselves to get onto the ladder to achieve their brighter future!
Our Induction Weeks are a fantastic chance to spend time living the life of one of our learners, completing different sector specific tasks, meeting the team, talking to potential employers after completing your course, and so much more...

Setting the Standard
We are achieving an impressive 100% pass rate for our learners on our new standards.
Customer Service
achievers have all passed with Distinctions and our cohort for Team Leading & Management have obtained Distinction and Merit gradings.
Well done to all involved in the delivery of our new apprenticeship standards, and let's aim for 100% pass rate on all future qualifications.

Pro:Direct Academy - Northampton
With the success of our Trial Days and VAR Tournament at St Georges Park, our provision has the basis to become one of the most successful in the area!
We have already sent out conditional offers to those who have attended our open events, inviting them to join our Pre Season Training for both Northampton and Birmingham Pro:Direct Academy sites. Training will be beginning on Monday 5
th
August. if you haven't attended an open event but would like to join our full time football education programme based in either Birmingham or Daventry then click

There will be a number of different events taking place this year, from VAR Tournaments to Pro:Direct Academy Select 11, where a chosen squad will play against professional teams! Previous teams have been Manchester City U21's, Japan U18's and many more...

Academy Closures
We will be holding an all staff training day on
Thursday 15

August 2019
, and so all academies will be closed. If you are due to be attending the centre this day, or you are a day release learner who usually attends the centre on a Thursday, your assessor will be in touch to arrange an alternative date for training.

GDPR & Data Protection
We wanted to take this opportunity to remind you of the importance of data protection in the workplace. A recent case involving an individual has come to light where someone has been imprisoned for accessing personal data without permissions by using a colleague’s login details and then continuing to do so once he switched employers. He was also issued with a

confiscation order and
£8,000

New Barbering Course Coming to Rugby
We are pleased to announce the launch of a new full time
Barbering Study Programme
scheduled for delivery in Rugby this summer. Plans are well underway to create a traditional Barber Shop set up on the first floor of our Rugby Training Centre. The Barber Shop will be kitted out with the latest barbering equipment to include its own separate backwash stations, specialist barbering chairs and all the associated traditional shaving equipment to include brushes, razors and towels and stocking Sebastian Professional Seb Man products.
We took the decision to offer barbering as a full time course as the popularity of this qualification is showing no signs of stopping, with more and more salons looking to add barbering services to their existing male grooming offer but we were unable to deliver workplace training in salons that didn’t have professional barbers’ chairs as this is an essential part of the qualification. The new Barber Shop in Rugby will therefore also be able to offer day release apprenticeship training to those who were previously unable to sign up to this qualification due to not having access to train using a traditional barbering chair.
