Cheryl House brings over 25 years of fundraising, financial management, strategic planning, board development, and communications expertise to The Phoenix Philanthropy Group.
Prior to joining Phoenix Philanthropy, Cheryl served as Interim Associate Vice President and Chief Development Officer at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center. Preceding this, she was Senior Director of Development at UAHS, where she was responsible for facilitating development activities with College and University leadership, overseeing a team of development officers, and managing a portfolio of major and principal gift prospects.
Additionally, she previously served as Assistant Vice Chancellor and Executive Director for the Pima Community College Foundation, where she was responsible for the overall administration of the Foundation, including fundraising, financial management and strategic planning; and was a member of the College's leadership team. Prior to joining the Pima Community College Foundation, Cheryl was Director of Development for the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy through the University of Arizona Foundation.
Cheryl has served in various capacities for CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education), including as Chair of the Board of Directors for District VII and a member of the CASE Commission on Philanthropy. A long-time member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and Planned Giving Round Table of Southern Arizona, Cheryl held various leadership positions, including president of both. She was named AFP of Southern Arizona's Outstanding Fundraising Executive in 2001, is past chair of the Board of Directors of the YWCA of Southern Arizona, and is a 2006 alumna of Greater Tucson Leadership.
Cheryl graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in journalism.
