Hello Student Affairs Team,
I’m pleased to share that Bethany Bell will be joining the Enrollment Management Leadership Team as our new Executive Dean of Enrollment & Records. In this role, she will oversee our Enrollment & Records Directors, Enrollment & Records Compliance & Operations, Graduation and Degree Audit Services, Transcript Evaluations, and respective teams. Bethany's start date is May 18, 2026.
Bethany brings more than 20 years of leadership experience across both community college and R1 university environments. She brings deep expertise in academic operations, including registration, curriculum management, student records, and enrollment services, with a strong focus on improving systems to better support student success and institutional effectiveness.
She began her higher education career here at Austin Community College District, building a strong foundation in advising, recruitment, and admissions and records. She later advanced into leadership roles at The University of Texas at Austin, most recently serving as Associate Registrar, where she provided strategic oversight of core academic functions and partnered across campus to enhance operational efficiency and the student experience.
Her experience across both two-year and four-year institutions gives her a unique ability to connect the full student journey, from access to completion and beyond. Bethany is known for her collaborative leadership style, strong policy acumen, and ability to lead complex operational areas with clarity, consistency, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Bethany is also currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership and Policy at The University of Texas at Austin, with research focused on administrative processes and their impact on student persistence.
