Welcoming Kaitlyn Camacho Orona to Rhode Island KIDS COUNT


Rhode Island KIDS COUNT is pleased to welcome Kaitlyn Camacho Orona to our team as Policy Analyst! Kaitlyn will be responsible for policy analysis, advocacy, research, and project management on children’s health issues. 

Kaitlyn received both her Bachelor of Arts and her Master of Public Health from Brown University. She was the recipient of the 2017 Royce Fellowship for Sport and Society and the 2018 Milken Institute Future Health Leader Award and was the 2018 Brown University Swearer Center for Public Service Commencement Speaker. She was also a member of the Division I Brown University Varsity Softball Team.

Prior to joining Rhode Island KIDS COUNT, Kaitlyn served as the Evaluation Coordinator for the Rhode Island Public Health Institute where she worked on projects related to food security and physical education. She has also done research on the opioid epidemic and health care access.

Kaitlyn will join Rhode Island KIDS COUNT on Monday, June 24.
