A former actress and now aspriring lawyer, this runner-up for valedictorianis taking charge of her life! Julia Divergilio, BMCC ’22, appeared in productions on HBO and Apple, and in off-Broadway musicals, before the pandemic halted her acting career. She persevered through difficult times, earning a second associate degree at BMCC while working late into the nights as a bartender, and navigating bipolar disorder and adult ADHD. Julia hopes to pursue a career in international law.
Julia’s Advice: “Travel to as many different countries as you can. I’ve been poor my entire adult life, but have traveled to over 11 countries. Don't let money hold you back; budget backpack, stay in hostels and get off the beaten path — there’s an incredible world out there.”
