We want to formally welcome Rabbi Ronn Yaish (HS 1992) as our incoming Middle School Co-Principal. Rabbi Yaish began his journey in the field of education at Hillel Yeshiva in Deal, New Jersey, eventually becoming the Assistant Principal while also serving as Assistant Rabbi at Suburban Torah Synagogue in Livingston. After moving to Teaneck, Rabbi Yaish took the position of Assistant Principal at The Frisch School, where he served in that capacity for six years as well.
Rabbi Yaish shares that his most notable and worthy title in the world of education is that he is an alumnus of our Yeshivah of Flatbush Joel Braverman High School! Rabbi Yaish attended Yeshiva University’s Sy Syms School of Business, where he learned Torah, leadership and business while earning his undergraduate degree. He continued to learn Torah at Yeshiva University after completing his degree and received his Semicha from Chief Justice of the Rabbinical High Court in Jerusalem HaRav Zalman Nechemia Goldberg ZT”L. Subsequently, he learned under the famed Rav Yehuda Giat of Jerusalem to become a certified Mohel and trained with Machon Puah in Family Purity laws. Rabbi Yaish earned a Master’s degree in educational leadership from Loyola University Chicago and an MBA in Finance from Seton Hall University. Rabbi Yaish lives and breathes “chesed activism” and programming, which he attributes to his Flatbush role models Rabbi Tully Besser, Mrs. Shifra Hannon, Mrs. Ruchie Winkler and Rabbi Jason Knapel.
With his deep passions for chesed and family, combined with his business acumen, Rabbi Yaish began a financial management company that guides families with special needs children on how to manage their financial futures. With his unique background in the worlds of education and business, Rabbi Yaish brings a unique perspective to our Middle School team. In terms of his own family, Rabbi Yaish’s wife, Dr. Raizel Yaish, serves as the Director of Guidance at the Maayanot High School for Girls in Teaneck. Rabbi and Dr. Yaish are proud parents to three young men, one studying in yeshiva in Israel for his gap year, and two enrolled in yeshiva day school at the elementary level in Bergen County.
