A Dose of Hope | September 2026

Greetings!

We'd like to welcome the latest cohort of 10 families to Saranam! They arrived a couple weeks ago and settling into their homes and routines. Some kiddos are sleeping well and others are still getting used to the new surroundings.

The families are ready to start their journeys and make a change for their families. Everyone was blown away by the decorated homes, so much so, some thought it was a dream! The parents want to be better for their children, have independence, and more stability for their families. They want to find a career path and be successful. Some have always dreamed to go back to school and others are excited to have "mom friends."

The now second-year families made paper flower bouquets for the new families. A message on one of the flowers gave a new mom pause - "She believed she could, so she did." The last time she heard that was from her high school senior yearbook. Seeing it again really touched her heart— such a little message goes a long way!

New Homes, New Chapters

Would you like to take a peek inside the newly decorated homes? The teams and volunteers worked their decorating magic to set up 10 homes for the new cohort- the beds were made, dishes are stacked in the cabinets, and decor throughout the home to welcome everyone in the family.

Check out our e-book, Home Highlights, featuring the decor, special moments, and styles of the rooms.

Thank you, Fellow Villagers

We can't say thank you enough to everyone who helped put these homes together. Your teamwork and planning made the apartments fabulous for the families.

There were 12 decorating teams and more community volunteers who made casseroles and assembled furniture! Stay tuned for total numbers next month.

A Welcomed Guest!

We'd like to thank Congresswoman Rep. Melanie Stansbury and her team for visiting our ADC Family Campus for a tour. We are thankful for her support

from the HUD 2024 U.S. Community Project Funding

for our expansion.

Afterwards, we hosted the Congresswoman's press conference in our classroom with other community organizations who received funds for their efforts in homelessness for young adults, seniors, and veterans.

Welcome to the Team, Sharon!

With Gratitude

We'd like to thank Bank of America for a grant we received this year. Their support helps us continue our work with helping families. They are working hard on their educational goals and strengthening their connections with their children.

Thank you to Oasis Albuquerque for bringing a class for a tour to our ADC Family Campus. We're glad you enjoyed your time with us. "I was so pleased to learn about this wonderful program. What an impact they are making for families and children's futures! I'll be sharing this mission", shared a tour goer.

Heart of the Home

Volunteers make a Difference Each Day

Volunteers support our families and mission each day and throughout the seasons. We couldn’t get through these wonderful years without the strong hearts and arms of our volunteers.

Volunteer at our Alumni Reunion

Our Annual Alumni Reunion is coming up Saturday, September 19! This event brings together families who have exited the program and current families together for a reunion of fun and community. Families catch up, share stories, and see how much taller the kiddos have grown.

"Saranam changed my life for the better. Thanks to you I am almost done with my degree. I am thriving no longer struggling. I may be a single mom, but now I have the skills to cope. Thank you," shared an alum mom.

Would you or a team like to volunteer at this event? We could use help with setting up, tearing down, food prep, or check in. Some other fun shifts include lawn games, bouncy house, or help at the craft table. Join the fun! The reunion will take place at the ADC Family Campus this year.
