PULSE is going on vacation! After a hiatus in August, we will be back September 20!
Welcome to our new residents!
We hope you have enjoyed your first weeks at the Department of Family Medicine! While this new chapter is exciting, it can also be overwhelming. We hope to alleviate the stress of this change and support you wherever possible throughout your residency. Below are a few helpful links to various tools and resources. If you ever have any questions, feel free to contact us (our Staff Directory and list of Faculty Directors can also help you find what you are looking for).
Message from the Chair

This month we welcomed our new residents with many activities: orientations, potlucks, barbecues and more! Our goal is for every resident to be the best family physician you can be. The summer also brings great weather, vacations and time to recharge batteries. I am looking forward to two weeks with my family on Charleston Lake!
New additions (and one change) to eField Notes

We have recently added two new features to our eField Note system (a ssessment of Entrustable Professional Activities for new residents and assessing Patient-Centered Observation skills for all residents) and have changed the automatic sign-off of eField Notes, which are now automatically signed off after 60 days.
Save the Date for the 2018 the Resident Wellness Retreat

The planning for the 2018 Resident Wellness Retreat is underway!

We are anticipating another exciting event, where family medicine residents will build resilience and lasting friendships while staying overnight at Camp Otterdale. Mark your calendars for September 7th, 2018, and stay tuned for more information!
