Dear RSPA Parents,

We are thrilled to announce that our school has received the Stronger Connection Grant! This grant will play a vital role in enhancing our students' educational experience and fostering a positive school environment.

The primary goals of the Stronger Connection Grant are to increase student attendance and promote appropriate behavior. By building stronger relationships between students, teachers, and staff, we aim to create a more supportive and engaging atmosphere for everyone.

Here’s what we hope to achieve with this grant:

1) Increased Attendance: We want to ensure that every student feels motivated to come to school every day. With targeted interventions, we hope to see a significant decrease in both absenteeism and tardiness.

2) Promote Positive Behavior: By implementing new programs and strategies, we aim to promote positive behavior and reduce conflicts, helping our students feel safe and respected. Learn more about our latest Detention System below.

3)  Stronger Connections: Building strong relationships is key to a thriving school community. We will focus on social-emotional learning and community-building activities to help students connect with each other and their teachers.

We are excited about the positive changes this grant will bring and look forward to your support as we implement these initiatives. Together, we can create an environment where our students can flourish both academically and socially.

Detention Saturdays

This October, our school has implemented a detention system as part of our efforts to promote a positive and respectful learning environment.

Detentions will be assigned for behavior that disrupts the educational process or violates school policies. Our goal is to help students reflect on their choices and understand the importance of maintaining a respectful atmosphere for everyone.

Detentions will take place from 8:00-11:00 AM on designated Saturdays. Parents are responsible for transportation. Students will receive prior notice of their assigned detention and will have the opportunity to discuss any questions or concerns with their teacher.

We appreciate your support in reinforcing the values of respect and responsibility within our school community.

Earn a free grade & enter the gas card raffle giveaway for completing the School Climate Survey by November 10th!

An online anonymous School Climate Survey is being administered at our school - collecting responses from students, staff, and parents to questions related to school relationships, engagement, bullying, substance use, teaching, and the school environment. We invite and encourage you to complete the Parent School Climate Survey. Our goal is to evaluate strengths and identify areas of improvement at RSPA.

Your input is important in helping make our Texas school the best for students, families, and staff!
