Dear Ones,

Well, hello! What a week!

Everything has changed but also nothing has changed, right? I remain your priest-in-charge through the end of this month and then the title of Dean will be applied on April 1 (tidy for the paperwork!). I could not be more humbled and grateful to continue on as your partner in ministry at Trinity. We've started to build beautiful offerings for the world and for the deepening of our faith - so let's continue that rich discipleship and keep offering it to all who hunger for this richness.

I extend my heartfelt thanks to your diligent, faithful, prayerful Search Committee.

They enacted a labor of love: to research, study, write, edit, create, and then present Trinity to the world is incredibly focused, soul-deep work. They took the hopes and dreams of a whole congregation and winnowed it into a clear picture of who this community has been and where we're going. They were wise and thoughtful in their interviews, they communicated with all of you, and they prayed fervently for Trinity, for those of us who applied, and sought to do the will of God and the people. Never stop thanking them for their passion, care, and devotion to the task. They get a spot of rest now, thankfully!

As our Senior Warden, Amy Carlile said in church on Sunday, we will look toward a Celebration of New Ministry, but we know we are a bit pressed for time considering a good handful of y'all depart for cooler climates soon. So we will look toward the fall when we are all back because it just won't be the same if we all can't be here together! Our ministry will continue to feel new together even then - I promise! More on the schedule later.

In the meantime, read on below for ways to be involved, to engage your faith, to serve your neighbors, and to love God in community.

We are on a new path together, beloveds, hand in hand. Thank you for your trust, your encouragement, your joy in our future. I am overjoyed and will remain grateful always. Thanks be to God.

¡Vaya, hola! Qué semana! 

Todo ha cambiado, pero al mismo tiempo nada ha cambiado, ¿verdad? Seguiré siendo vuestro párroco encargado hasta finales de este mes y, a partir del 1 de abril, pasaré a ostentar el título de decano (¡qué orden en el papeleo!). Me siento profundamente honrado y agradecido por poder seguir siendo vuestro compañero en el ministerio en Trinity. Hemos comenzado a crear hermosas ofrendas para el mundo y para la profundización de nuestra fe, así que continuemos con ese rico discipulado y sigamos ofreciéndolo a todos los que tienen hambre de esta riqueza. 

Extiendo mi más sincero agradecimiento a su diligente, fiel y devoto Comité de Búsqueda. 

Llevaron a cabo una labor de amor: investigar, estudiar, escribir, editar, crear y, finalmente, presentar «Trinity» al mundo es un trabajo que requiere una concentración increíble y que llega hasta lo más profundo del alma. Tomaron las esperanzas y los sueños de toda una congregación y los transformaron en una imagen clara de quién ha sido esta comunidad y hacia dónde nos dirigimos. Fueron sabios y reflexivos en sus entrevistas, se comunicaron con todos ustedes y oraron fervientemente por Trinity, por aquellos de nosotros que nos postulamos, y buscaron hacer la voluntad de Dios y del pueblo. Nunca dejen de agradecerles por su pasión, cuidado y devoción a la tarea. ¡Ahora se toman un descanso, afortunadamente!

Como dijo nuestra guardiana principal, Amy Carlile, en la iglesia el domingo, esperamos celebrar una «Celebración del Nuevo Ministerio», pero sabemos que tenemos poco tiempo, ya que muchos de ustedes se marchan pronto a climas más frescos. Así que esperaremos hasta el otoño, cuando todos hayamos regresado, porque ¡no será lo mismo si no podemos estar todos juntos aquí! Nuestro ministerio seguirá sintiéndose nuevo juntos incluso entonces, ¡lo prometo! Más adelante daré más detalles sobre el calendario.

Mientras tanto, sigue leyendo a continuación para descubrir formas de participar, de vivir tu fe, de servir a tus vecinos y de amar a Dios en comunidad. 

Estamos recorriendo juntos un nuevo camino, queridos, de la mano. Gracias por vuestra confianza, vuestro aliento y vuestra alegría por nuestro futuro. Estoy rebosante de alegría y siempre estaré agradecida. Demos gracias a Dios.
