50 Ideas to Get Involved in National Nutrition Month

March is National Nutrition Month. It is a great way to raise awareness in the workplace about a healthy lifestyle. Statistically speaking, 42% of Americans are obese. According to the CDC, obesity causes major chronic health problems that can lead to absenteeism, increased healthcare costs, and decreased productivity in the workplace. The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics promotes awareness and teaches individuals about healthy food habits for corporate wellness programs addressing nutrition throughout the year.

BayCare Corporate Mammograms

More than 96 percent of women with breast cancer are cured if it is detected and treated early. Did you know that BayCare has a Screening Mammogram Program for our employer partners? Contact us to learn more!

Breast Cancer Screening Begins at Home

Early detection of breast cancer starts with making breast care a priority, and breast care starts at home. No one knows your body like you do.

Screening Mammograms

To guard your breast health, a mammogram is the best screening tool available. It is a safe, low-dose X-ray that can detect changes in the breast long before any symptoms appear or can be felt. Mammograms can be used as a screening tool when you don't have symptoms and as a diagnostic tool if you are experiencing symptoms.

Managing Your Breast Health

There is no proven way to prevent breast cancer, but according to the American Cancer Society, there are certain things you can do to lower your risk. Talk with your physician about your risks to learn when it is best to begin these exams. Your potential risk may determine when you should have your first mammogram and how often you need to have them.
