From President Frank H. Wu and Chief of Staff Desirae Colvin:

As we enter the fall season, we would like to remind you that the health and wellness of our community are of paramount importance. Here are some key points to keep in mind:

  • If you are not feeling well, stay home.
  • Make sure to wash your hands well, for at least 30 seconds. Soap is available in all restrooms on campus.
  • Health education and counseling are available for students, faculty, and staff via the Queens College Health Service Center located in Frese Hall (third floor). Walk-in services include first aid, medical assessment and referrals, immunizations, and blood pressure checks.
  • Face masks are available upon request at every Public Safety booth. Campus offices may continue to request a supply of masks by sending a work request to Buildings and Grounds at bngweb@qc.cuny.edu or stopping by the B&G office (L1 building) Monday through Friday, 8 am-4 pm.

Mental health is a key part of a wellness routine. The Queens College Counseling Center has on staff licensed psychologists, social workers, and professional counselors, as well as supervised interns. To reach them, students should call 718-997-5420 and leave a message with your name, CUNY ID number, and phone number. Calls will be returned on the same business day between 9 am and 5 pm. Alternatively, students can email the same information to counselingservices@qc.cuny.edu or visit the center's office on the first floor of Frese Hall weekdays from 9 am to 5 pm.

Faculty and staff may reach out to CCA@YourService, CUNY’s confidential employee assistance program provider. CCA@YourService may be contacted 24/7 by calling 800-833-8707 or logging on to www.myccaonline.com with the company code “CUNY.”

Let us all protect and care for each other by ensuring our own wellness.
