This presentation highlights the latest advances in physical therapy for people with multiple sclerosis, including more personalized rehab, proper adaptation of exercise, fatigue-aware PT, and fall prevention / dual-task training. It focuses on how modern PT is improving mobility, safety, and daily function through more individualized, evidence-based care.
Dr. Chai currently practices at New York University with clinical focus on neurologic and vestibular rehabilitation. He holds a Clinical Vestibular Certification from Johns Hopkins University and an Advanced Vestibular Certification from the University of Pittsburgh. His clinical expertise includes the evaluation and treatment of central and peripheral vestibular disorders. He also provides locomotor rehabilitation, gait training for individuals affected by stroke, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, concussion, and other neurologic and neurodegenerative conditions. He is actively involved in clinical research at the NYU Multiple Sclerosis Comprehensive Care Center and currently speaks for multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease symposiums hosted by NYU.
