Dear Wells Academy Students and Families,

We're now well into the school year, and October promises to be a busy and exciting month at Wells Academy! Our third graders will be taking the ELA State Test the week of October 13-17. Please ensure they come to school rested and on time during that week to help them do their best.

We also encourage you to take a moment to read through our newsletter, where you'll find important dates and times to keep in mind. Thank you for your continued support and partnership in making this a successful year for our students!

Below are our drop-off and pick-up procedures. To ensure a safe and smooth process for everyone, please adhere to these guidelines: 

Morning Drop-Off:

Location: Please pull up to the gymnasium doors to drop off your child.

Vehicle Rules: Remain in your vehicle; staff will assist your child in exiting safely.

If You Need to Exit the Vehicle: Please park in a designated parking lot and walk your child to the entrance.

Street Parking: Do not park or exit your vehicle on the street.

Afternoon Pick-Up:

Parent/Guardian Presence: No student will be dismissed unless a parent/guardian is present on the sidewalk.

No Parking Zone: There is no parking in front of Wells Academy from Dock Street to Logan Street between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM.

Signing Out: If you are signing your child out after 2:00 PM, please do not park on 4th Street.

Reminders!

Attention Wells Families: Please be sure to label all of your child's personal items. This includes jackets, sweaters, lunch boxes, water bottles, etc. Thanks for your continued support!

Gymnasium Doors will be open for students arrival at 8:25AM. Latchkey is available for students starting at 7:30AM and is also available after school until 5:30PM. Fees are $10 per day, per child. Cash or Checks made out to Steubenville City Schools are the only forms of payment for the Latchkey services. Balances should be paid on a weekly basis. Non-payment within 2 weeks will result in suspension of latchkey privileges. Thank you for your continued support!

Buses will be dropping off in front of the auditorium doors. They will have a designated spot to drop off. Anyone dropping off a child please pull to the gymnasium doors and do not exit your vehicle. Staff will be on the street to help your child get out of the vehicle. If you would like to get out of your vehicle park in a parking lot and walk your child to the doors. Do not park and exit your vehicle on the street. Steubenville City Schools will not be responsible for any damages to vehicles. Thank you for your cooperation on this matter. The safety of everyone is our top priority.
