Although the DUSD community continues to grow and is spread across 11 amazing sites, I think of us as a family. As a family, we experience good times as well as hard times. Unfortunately, I have to share some very sad news from Wells Middle School. The note below, from Dr. Ean Ainsworth, Principal, says it all. We have lost a cherished member of our family.
The District and Board of Trustees wants to share our deepest condolences to the Marker family and is thankful to have had such a dedicated and caring educator among us.

It is with the heaviest of hearts that I reach out to the Wells family today. Yesterday, Linda Marker, a dedicated teacher, dear friend, and beloved part of the Wells family for over 30 years, passed away.
Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Linda knows that words like witty, loyal, caring, and selfless don't truly do her justice. Over the past three decades, Linda has had a profound impact on countless students in Dublin. Her legacy will live on in all the lives she's touched. We were all blessed to know her and the Dublin community should be forever thankful for the positive impact she has made.
At this time, there is no information regarding the family's plans for services for Linda. As we receive information, we will make sure the community is made aware.
