Below you will see some new programs and events. We are excited to host some of Wendell Falls neighboring businesses. Some of the events and programs below will require an RSVP so please read carefully and secure your spot. We look forward to the fall season and all the fun upcoming events. Come out to the Raleigh Room on Wednesday, September 7 at 5:30pm. Nathaniel Hunt from Trinity Martial Arts will be hosting a kids self-defense class. This is a free class and will host ages (6-11 years old).
Join us for a charcuterie class and make your very own board! It will be led by Elizabeth and Melissa of Cousins’ Creations. Get to learn all the tips to; selecting ingredients, using color, and pairing bites. They will provide all ingredients and materials to create your very own charcuterie board. Price $50 This class will be capped at 15 people.

Join us by the pool Sunday, September 11 from 4:00pm-6:00pm for the last dog days of Summer. We will have Neuse River Veterinary Hospital and PetSmart sponsoring this event, so come out and let your fur babies swim and get spoiled with treats.
Come join Artfully Creative Education at our September Young Einsteins Class. We will explore Autumn and apples though story time and process art projects.

The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences will host this fun informational class. Join us Tuesday, September 20 at 6:00pm outside the Pool Patio. Meet some of the Museum’s live animal ambassadors and learn about their characteristics, adaptations, and the roles they play in our environment. They offer a large variety of themes, including reptiles, NC natives, tropical animals and more. Check out our Wendell Way and monthly "September At A Glance" to RSVP there is a cap for 30 children (Does not include parents).  

Join us for an informational discussion on the benefits of superfoods and healthy nutritional choices hosted by Radiant Nutrition of Wendell. Come out for some fun samples, parfaits and raffle!
September is Falls Prevention Awareness Month. Join us for a informational lecture and evidence based class hosted by Resources for Senior and Dr. Casey Baldwin who will speak on the topic of medication management and falls prevention. 
Perfect For: Active older adults who are looking for a modified Zumba class that recreates the original moves you love at a lower-intensity.
How It Works: The design of the class introduces easy-to-follow Zumba choreography that focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination. Come ready to sweat, and prepare to leave empowered and feeling strong.
Benefits: Class focuses on all elements of fitness: cardiovascular, muscular conditioning, flexibility and balance.

Dees Burnt Trees LLC is offering instructional classes covering pyrography (wood burning). These are intended as an introductory level course to allow those of all skill levels to explore this wonderful art form. All who participate will be able to take their product home to enjoy. The course will cover the following basics:
•Transferring a design to wood
• Safety tips for using a wood burning tool
• Introduction to several wood burning techniques
• Option to add color to your work
