WHITE PLAINS, NY (June 2, 2025) — Joe DeGuardia's Star Boxing standout and perennial contender Wendy “Haitian Fire” Toussaint is set to make a statement as he collides with undefeated rising star Joseph Hicks Jr. in a pivotal jr. middleweight USBA Title clash on Friday, June 6, at the Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, NY. The bout is part of “Hall of Fame Fight Night,” a spectacular card and the Hicks-Toussaint title fight is presended by Salita Promotions in association with Joe DeGuardia's Star Boxing and will and broadcast live globally on DAZN. The show is promoted in collaboration with ALL THE SMOKE FIGHT, the dynamic digital content platform led by boxing legend Andre Ward.
This thrilling matchup is set during International Boxing Hall of Fame Induction Weekend, an annual pilgrimage for boxing’s elite past and present — and Toussaint vs. Hicks promises to deliver a fight worthy of the occasion.
The 33-year-old Toussaint (16-3, 7 KOs), known for the relentless pace, ring savvy and fire he showed in the Ardreal Holmes Jr controversial fight, enters the bout looking to derail the momentum of the undefeated Hicks, a former U.S. amateur standout with elite pedigree and fast-rising potential. With major divisional implications at stake, this fight may serve as a launchpad toward world title contention for the victor.
Hicks (12-0, 9 KO's), fighting out of Michigan, is know for his craftiness with impressive slick movement and deceptive power but will be facing his stiffest test yet in the veteran Toussaint. Toussaint is from Long Island, New York, by way of Haiti.
The stacked card is headlined by a heavyweight battle between USBA Champion Brandon Moore and undefeated Stanley Wright, along with a unified super middleweight title defense by Franchón Crews-Dezurn. Also featured are top prospects Joshua Pagan, Da’Velle Smith, and more.
