As part of the West Avenue Neighborhood Improvements Project the contractor will begin installing the 72-inch stormwater drainage pipe on West Avenue starting early next week. Drainage installation will start at the intersection of West Avenue and Lincoln Road and crews will be working north to south toward 16 Street.
During the operation West Avenue may temporarily be reduced to one lane to accommodate equipment and machinery. Flaggers will be on site to assist with traffic movements. Residents and visitors should expect an increase in construction activity in the area including heavy machinery and work vehicles. Please use caution when traveling through the work zone and follow posted construction signage.

What to Expect
- Residential buildings and the P-23 Parking Lot (the circle lot) on West Avenue between Lincoln Road and 16 Street will remain accessible throughout the length of the operation.
- Motorists should use caution when traveling through the area and allow additional travel time and expect intermittent delays as the drainage installation progresses.
- Flaggers will be present as needed to assist with traffic and pedestrian movements.
- Residents and visitors should expect an increase in construction activity in the area, including heavy machinery and work vehicles.
- This installation should take approximately three weeks.
