It is very exciting that West Branch received the Rising Tide Program that is guided with the governor. Please check out this website for updates and progression of the Rising Tide Project. The topics of focus for West Branch are Child Care, Housing, Attraction/Retention of Talent, Downtown, and Marketing/Branding.
The Branding Committee is going to run a social media campaign this simmer in hopes of creating some buzz about the new look. Community Members are encouraged to take a selfie with logoed sign and post it on social media, tag West Branch Chamber and use the hashtag with the sign. Everyone who participates will be entered into a drawing for awesome prizes. The campaign will run from June 7 to Labor Day.

There are some great volunteering opportunities coming up with Ogemaw County Humane Society! Please know that we need your support.
* If you like to bake & would like to volunteer making things for any of the upcoming bake sales, please let us know & just drop the items off at the shelter the day before the event by 4:00 pm or at the event by noon.
* If you would like to be at one of the bake sale tables during the event, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm / 3:00 pm the day of the event. Please let us know. Currently, all locations are in West Branch, however we would like to expand to other parts of the county. With your help we can do that!!!

CLAWS AND PAWS Rescue
The need continues to grow in our community for animals in need and with that need...so does our food pantry. We currently supply pet food to 3 food pantries in Ogemaw County & 1 in Roscommon County. So you may ask what we need and how you can help?
Well, there are several needs:
* We are always in need of donations of cat, kitten, dog and puppy food. It's okay if the bags are open and food can be dropped off to our office in downtown West Branch (behind Ink & Thread).
* We bag all the food into gallon ziplock bags and need ongoing help to keep it bagged up and labeled.
* We need 2 AWESOME VOLUNTEERS to oversee our food pantry and keep it organized and make sure the food is getting out to our community in a timely manner. Can you help?
This is a super easy way to help your community and make a huge difference for pets in need. Together, we are making a difference.
