Summer Assignments

The links to your summer assignments are below. The directions and due dates are listed on each assignment. Complete the assignments for the grade/class that you are entering in September 2023. The assignments for Math & English will be graded as major assignments for the 1st quarter of 2023-24.

We strongly recommend you manage your time wisely and set goals to accomplish your work. One way to do that is to spend about 45 minutes a day on each assignment. Remaining academically active is more important this summer than ever before to be prepared to return to school for the 2023-24 school year.

Meet the Administrator: Ms. Maureen Deviney

Throughout her tenure of 16+ years at West Catholic Prep, Ms. Maureen Deviney has served as both the Head of the Mathematics Department and most recently as the Assistant Principal of Academic Affairs.

Ms. Deviney is currently enrolled in a Graduate Program at St. Joseph's University and serves on the Board of Directors for a start-up non-profit. While this means she does not have much free time, she enjoys spending her free time with her friends and family. Similarly, Ms.Deviny believes that the best thing about West Catholic is the sense of community and family that the school has fostered for her and her students. Ms.Deviny looks forward to the exciting time of welcoming a new group of students into the Burr family. Once a burr... always a burr!

While entering a new high school can be difficult, Ms.Deviny believes that all students can be their best at West. She shares that the most important advice that she can loan to new students is to get involved in sports/activities, not to procrastinate your work, and be your own biggest advocate.
