The Bad Asstronauts, a troupe of dancing jellyfish, swarmed West Colfax and 40 West Arts District in 2017.
Join WCCA at the monthly general meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, February 21st, 7:30am, at 40W Gallery (1560 Teller Street). This month we welcome speakers from Reed Art & Imaging and the Severe Weather Shelter Network.
Members and friends are encouraged to attend the meeting to network and  hear the latest news from elected officials, corridor representatives, neighbors, and business owners. Enjoy f ree coffee and breakfast items. Meetings start promptly at 7:30am and wrap up by 9am. 

WCCA meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 1560 Teller St., Lakewood 80214. The next WCCA meeting will be on March 21st. Brian Haitz of Haitz Marketing will speak about the 5 things every business owner should know about organic search.

Jellyfish Return for March Art Walk in 40 West Arts District 
Did you go to the March 2017 Art Walk, where a swarm of artistic Jellyfish danced through the district? If the answer is no, you definitely don't want to miss the art walk on First Friday, March 2nd from 5-9pm. The  Bad Asstronauts return with their jellyfish and will be dancing through the district. There will be live music at multiple venues, refreshments, and all creative spaces will be open. Bring your whole family for this fun celebration. RSVP on Facebook.
Lakewood State of the City Luncheon Tickets Almost Sold Out
Individual tickets and sponsorship tables are almost completely sold out for the Lakewood State of the City Luncheon. The Mayor's theme this year is "Be Bold." Event proceeds support Lakewood nonprofits. MuralFest Vendor Opportunities

Headed up by committee co-chairs Kevin Yoshida and Dr. Ruth Holden, the planning for the 4th Annual West Colfax MuralFest is well underway. The festival will include multiple bands and murals, food trucks, dozens of vendor booths, and activities for the whole family! The Call for Muralists has closed, but applications for booths from artist vendors and artist demo are open. West Colfax has another reason to celebrate! The West Metro Chamber has recog n ized the revitalization and momentum of the West Colfax Corridor by presenting Bill Marino with The Steve Burkholder Diamond Legacy Award at its Chairman's Gala on Feb. 2nd. In his remarks, Marino accepted the award on behalf of all three of the West Colfax-based organizations, the active neighborho od associations, and the scores of volunteers who have made the renaissance taking place in the corridor possible! He specifically recognized the productive partnerships in place with the City of Lakewood, Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design, and Colfax-based business owners. "Working together toward a shared vision has made all the difference! It's been a community effort . . . and there's still much to do!"
