What is happening?
Bicycle safety improvements including six (6) speed humps, one (1) raised crosswalk, a new bicycle transition between the Northbank path and West ‘D’ Street, realignment of the existing path transition, signing, and striping.
When will the work happen?
Construction is expected to begin the week of March 18 and is scheduled to be completed no later than July 31, 2024.
Why do the project?
The purpose of this project is to create a safer, more comfortable, and accessible facility for all users.
How will this affect me?
Local access to residents will be available once construction begins.
Disruption to normal routes can be expected. For travelers commuting through this section of West ‘D’ Street, an alternate route will be in place. You may notice nuisance noise, dust, and heavy construction equipment during this time.
