This last Friday was our first day to be at Roselawn and help them out. It was great! I am so glad for those who came to be apart of it. We have made a commitment to them that every Friday morning we will be there to help so if you have a couple of hours to spare on Friday mornings it would be a great way to serve. We help kids with their reading, math and anything else the teachers might need. So if you are interested or want more info just give me a holler.
Speaking of serving we are working with Packs of Love this year as well. We will be collection food donations through out the school year for them. There are some ideas listed on our FB page for donations. Also on Thursdays 11:30 at First Baptist we will help them pack up the food for the kiddos. If you want more information on that contact me or you can find Packs Of Love on FB.
One more thing we are helping with is a Toy Drive for Covenant Medical Women’s and Children’s hospital in Lubbock. This is where my nephew, Lucas, receives his chemo treatments. SO with September being Leukemia and Childhood Cancer awareness month I thought it would be a good time to give back to them since they do so much for kiddos like Lucas.
These are some wonderful ways to step out of the building and be the church. All donations for both Packs of Love and the Hospital can be brought by my office in the gym, sanctuary on Sunday morning and also the Main Kids area.
Love you all,
