Mark your calendars for our annual Community Egg Hunt on March 23, 2024 @ 11am SHARP at Walnut Lane park!


Come before the 11am start time to get your pic with the Bunny and explore a Lionville Fire Company fire truck.


Bring your own baskets!


Walnut Lane park is located at 803 Walnut Lane, Chester Springs just off of Rt. 401 next to The Mill at Anselma

COMMUNITY SHREDDING EVENT

MARCH 23, 2024 FROM 9AM TO NOON


State Rep. Kristine Howard and State Senator Katie Muth are hosting a FREE Community Shredding Event on March 23rd from 9am to noon.


The shredding event will take place at Charlestown Elementary School (2060 Charlestown Road, Malvern). There is a three box limit per car.


This event is first come, first served. When the truck is full, the event will end. All shredded paper will be recycled!

2024 LAWN MAINTENANCE BIDS DUE MARCH 4, 2024 @ 11:30AM

Proposals must be submitted upon the forms furnished by the Township and may be obtained at the Municipal Building or on the Township website at www.westpikeland.com.

Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked "LAWN MAINTENANCE – 2024/2025 SEASON BID" by Monday, March 4, 2024, at 11:30 A.M. and will be opened on Monday, March 4, 2024, at noon inside the West Pikeland Township Office Building for review and consideration by the Board of Supervisors on Monday March 18, 2024, at 7:30 P.M.

This month we’re welcoming longer days, the start of spring, and more exciting events at Chester Springs Library! While you’re spring cleaning, please be on the lookout for possible summer reading prize donations. We accept prizes for all ages as long as they’re new or unopened! Thank you!

 

Here are some of the program highlights for March:

 

March 1 @ 1pm-4pm: Read – Snack – Craft- Celebrate Read Across America Day a day early! We’ll have tents and blanket forts set-up as cozy spots to read, and snacks and crafts available. No Registration.

 

March 11 @ 1:30pm: Collage Creations- Learn about the art of collage and use the library’s art supplies to create collages to take home. For teens and adults. Register here: Collage Creations LibCal

 

March 16 @ 10am: Seed Library Opens- Stop by and browse the seeds we have available. Please consider donating saved seeds from your garden or non-hybrid seed packets beforehand.

 

March 23 @ 11am: Community Egg Hunt- Egg Hunt starts at 11am sharp. Bring your own basket and arrive early. The event will be at a new location this year- Walnut Lane Park.

 

March 26 @ 10:30am-12:30pm: Pom Pom Pals- Create cute little pom pom critters and give them personality by adding googly eyes and feet! Make several little friends to take home with you. Recommended for All Ages. No Registration.

Chester County 4-H for Children 8-18


Are your kids interested in learning about what it takes to raise livestock? You don't even need to live on a farm. Chester County 4-H is kicking off their large animal project year next week with lots of opportunities to get involved.
