We're going!
Are you going with us?
We four -- Matt Calish, Rich Freeman, Joe Reardon, and Jake Salik --
are organizing a West Point football outing.
As a committee, we just met. Several details need to be worked out.
But here’s how we see it shaping up and what we need from you now.
WHEN?
Aiming for earlier in the Fall while the weather’s still pleasant,
we’ve pegged two possible dates:
Sat., Sept. 20 – vs. U. of North Texas
Sat., Oct. 11 – vs. UNC/Charlotte
(Kickoff time not yet posted, but is normally Noon.)
We’ll pursue the single date preferred by most of you.
TAIL GATE PARTY
We’re planning to do a simple Tailgate Party.
We'll supply the victuals. You'll bring your favorite beverage.
With kick-off at noon, the Tailgate Party will be pre-game:
a late-morning brunch / early lunch
HOW MUCH?
To give you a firm price,
we'll need to tell West Point Group Sales:
--how many spectators we have
--what kind of seating is needed
Meanwhile, we estimate:
About $100 pp* -- Upper Deck / Press Box -- Sections U9-U16
The “U” sections put us mid-field, hopefully on or near 40-50-yard line.
SEATING ACCESSIBILITY:
Steps into the stands here are steep.
About $100 pp* -- End Zone Lower Level -- Section 20
Sections 20 put us in the end zone.
The Cadets are seated adjacent - Sections 21-24
SEATING ACCESSIBILITY:
Seating here is more easily accessed.
Roughly $150-175 pp -- Sections 8-17
Mid-field, hopefully on or near the 40-50-yard line.
There will be fewer tickets available in this section.
Priority given to those with limited mobility.

*The game plus parking is approx $54 pp; we project $40-45 for food.
We'll try to offer all three options so everyone can pick their seating of choice.
We'll try for block seating the the extent possible.

HOW TO GET THERE
Drive from Westport.
Parking is included, based on 3-4 to a car.
It will be necessary to car pool.
Drive time estimated at 1-1/2 hrs. from Merritt exit 42.
More information to come.
NEXT STEPS
We’ll go either on 9/20 or 10/11. We’ll book the date that most prefer.
By June 1st, we ask you to tell us:
--if you’re only available on 9/20
--if you're only available on 10/11
or
--if you're available both dates
and
--your seating preference
Right now, all we need is a non-binding Show of Interest.
As soon as we hear from you, we’ll give you a firm price.
Then we’ll need you to reserve and pay by June 30.
Once we've received your payment,
we'll confirm your reservation.
Tickets will be non-refundable. In the event you can’t attend,
we’ll publicize the availability of your tickets to other club members.
