Visit Tim White Way, next to the WR post office, to see a new outdoor artwork exhibit sponsored by WRMS and our funder, Boston Main Streets Foundation. The theme "Community" conveys the inspirations and interpretations of what the community means to the youth in our neighborhood.

Their artistic expressions beautifully display the hope and promise for a strong, thriving and vibrant West Roxbury community. This talented cohort of youth artists is led by local art teacher, Ellen McGill.

Local Rotary Club Introduces Parkway-themed Board Game to Raise Funds
The Parkway Rotary has been a staple of the West Roxbury, Roslindale and JP communities since 1991. For thirty years, members have worked with local organizations and community groups to help those in need. As a subset of Rotary International, members have also spent hundreds of volunteer hours overseas working with Rotoplast to provide surgeries for children with cleft lips and palates. This year the Club's very own Terry Curran is the 7930 District Governor, a district that spans Eastern Massachusetts.

To raise money for their ongoing projects within the local community, the Parkway Rotarians are selling custom-made Monopoly games with local West Roxbury and Roslindale businesses and organizations represented on the game squares. The funds raised will go towards future projects like building herb gardens for Edelweiss Village, donating school supply bags to children through Rose's Bounty and the Chittick School, providing valentine's gifts and flowers to local senior citizens, and giving scholarships to college-bound students. To purchase a game, you can find them at Krupa Insurance, Center Cuts, The Birch Street Home and Garden, and The Rockland Trust West Roxbury Branch, or email Terry at [email protected].

If you would like to join an upcoming planning meeting, they meet every other Tuesday at West on Centre @ 5:30pm. For more details visit, https://www.westroxburyclub.org.
