Come celebrate nature at its best, while enjoying great food and festivities, as West Vincent hosts its first-ever Fall Fest at Opalanie Park - 1422 Saint Matthews Road, one mile east of the Bryn Coed Preserve - on Saturday, October 14th from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
West Vincent Fall Fest will spotlight an exciting array of activities for all-ages, including bird walks, tree i.d. walks, a mini dog walk, plein air sketching, the always-popular pet parade, and hayrides offered throughout the day. Read about the other activities and offerings...

Back in the Day in West Vincent - An Introduction to Our Township - Historic Resources Committee
Historic West Vincent, like its neighboring townships, began in the late 1600s when Welsh, Irish, Scottish, and later Palatinate Germans, created a thriving settlement centered around Birchrunville. Those first settlers shared the land with the Lenape Indians who moved around it seasonally and shared their knowledge about iron and mineral sites and about the clear, swift streams of the French Creek, Pickering Creek, Birch Run, and their tributaries. EAC guest speaker, naturalist author, Chris Petrak will introduce common resident birds and visiting migrants, where and when to see them, and nuggets about their life and habits, including familiar birds such as: the “poor sam", the “perchickoree,” the "witchety", the “peter-peter,” and more.
