Healthy Yard Recognition Program Application

Do you have a healthy yard? Healthy yards benefit the whole community! If you take care of your yard in a healthy way, we want to thank you and recognize your efforts. If you want to have a healthier yard, but you aren’t sure how to begin, we can help! We all want to have healthy yards, but sometimes it is difficult to find information or figure out how to take the first step.

The West Vincent Environmental Advisory Council has assembled an application that lists qualities we think a healthy yard would have. We invite you to see how many apply to your yard by filling out the West Vincent Healthy Yard Recognition Program Application. If your yard qualifies, you may choose to receive a yard sign and/or a digital award. If you feel inspired to take positive action (and we hope you do), feel free to fill out the application as many times as you like to improve your score!

As part of the West Vincent community, you can help move us toward a clean energy future by completing our Clean Energy Survey.

Shredding Event and Battery Recycling Collection- A Great Success!

Outstanding stats from the shredding and battery recycling event held on Sunday, June 25!

Thank you, Senator Katie Muth, Rep. Kristine Howard, Steve Bazil (Ludwig's Corner Horse Show Grounds), West Vincent Sustainability Committee, West Vincent Clean Energy Transition Team, and WV Township Board of Supervisors!

Overall, we shredded 3,340 pounds of paper and collected 5 large banker boxes full of household batteries.

Tuesday, July 4 Free Fishing Day

The second Fish-for-Free Day in Pennsylvania for 2023 will be this Tuesday, July 4.

Fish-for-Free Days allow anyone to legally fish on Pennsylvania waterways with no fishing license required.

Tree Health Talk - Thursday, July 27 - 7:00 p.m. in the Township Building Meeting Room

It is sad to see so many of our trees dying and stressed. What can we do? Our District Forester, John Nissen, will give a short talk on problems our trees are currently facing, with suggestions on what we can do to help.
