Over the next several months, WestEd will be conducting a statewide inventory of K12 adult education and community college noncredit CTE and workforce preparation programs and courses.

This work will involve analysis of adult school catalogs and interviews with practitioners over several months. This information will be compared with local, regional and statewide community college credit CTE pathways and labor-market information to help adult educators and community colleges identify gaps in local or regional offerings and assist with local and regional pathway development.

Please be on the lookout for communication from the WestEd team as it embarks on a treasure hunt to gather school catalogs and schedule interviews with key informants to learn more about your approach to serving students looking for career advancement.

The Division of Adult and Career Education (DACE) collaborated with Parent and Community Services to pilot the Family Success Initiative (FSI), an innovative approach to providing ESL classes to parents of LAUSD students.
