WIN Collaboration Brings Financial Solutions to a Local Medical Equipment Vendor 


The Westchester Innovation Network (WIN) recently concluded another successful collaboration by helping to bring financing solutions to a local medical equipment vendor.


WIN paired Ampli-Fi — an early-stage medical sector lender — with Westchester’s Glo-Med Networks, Inc., a global sales and distribution business that sells medical devices and related products. The match allowed Glo-Med to offer financial solutions to its customers.


Ampli-Fi makes it easier for people to buy medical equipment they need to grow their business. Its digital platform offers tools to help equipment resellers like Glo-Med Networks give its customers fast and easy purchase options.

FDA Approves Regeneron-Sanofi's Drug As First Biologic For Stiffness, Pain In Muscles


The FDA approved Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc's and Sanofi SA's Kevzara (sarilumab) for polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR), an inflammatory rheumatic disease. The approval covers adult patients who have had an inadequate response to corticosteroids or cannot tolerate corticosteroid taper. Kevzara is now approved to treat two chronic inflammatory disorders.


PMR often initially presents with pain and stiffness around the neck, shoulder, and hip area, and symptoms include fatigue, low-grade fever, and weight loss.

Retia Medical CEO Marc Zemel has been selected to present LSI - Life Science Intelligence™ Emerging Medtech Summit, March 20-23, 2023, in Dana Point, CA. He will provide an update on Retia Medical's progress and the rapid growth the company has been experiencing in the adoption of our Argos system. 


Based in White Plains Retia’s technology was developed at Michigan State University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology and validated through extensive tests in animals and humans. With the support of a strong advisory board comprised of industry and clinical experts, Retia received FDA 510(k) clearance and launched this product in December 2018, which will help revolutionize the care of the most at-risk patients.
