Western Veterinary Clinic's Expansion

SBDC Success Story - The owners of Western Veterinary Clinic (WVC) are celebrating the third anniversary of their expansion and remodel. The construction project was started in 2017 to accommodate WVC’s growing mixed animal practice. The buildout nearly doubled the clinic’s size and made it more functional and attractive. “We went from three exam rooms to six with additional workspace and opened up the lobby considerably,” said Dr. Lee Garbel. The $1.2 million project included a 1,400 square-foot addition and 1,500 square-foot remodel. The renovation also gave the clinic more retail space for pet products and room for another veterinarian. Williston Residents to decorate
Community Christmas Tree

News Release - Reintroduced in 2014, the Community Christmas Tree is a holiday tradition enjoyed by all ages, from the moving process to the accompanied lighting ceremony. While there will not be a tree lighting ceremony this year due to COVID-19, the tree will be lit by Friday, November 27 and a registered stop on the Holiday Lights Tour. In addition, the City of Williston invites the community to participate in the first Community Christmas Tree Ornament Contest! Individuals are encouraged to get creative and make their best ornament to hang on the tree for a chance to win a prize pack. Read More

Williston Herald - When a local food-prep business closed their doors, a group of friends got the idea to re-open the business, with a new bit of flair. Now those plans have taken...Rootz. Born out of the former Fresh Fit Kitchen, Rootz Meal Prep and Eatery opened up in Williston in September, setting up shop in the former Golden China restaurant. Keeping with the same concept as Fresh Fit, Rootz offers meal prep, but with the added experience of a dine-in restaurant, featuring a full menu of healthy eating options that are customizable to each customer's taste. Read More
3E Pastry Cafe features Mediterranean Flair

Williston Herald - Sharing the flavors of their culture was a dream the Erkal family have finally made a reality with the opening of Williston's newest eatery. 3E Pastry Cafe opened up about a month ago, bringing a taste of the Mediterranean to rural North Dakota. The Erkal family moved to Williston from Turkey on 2007, and owner Sidik Erkal said his wife began selling pastries online throughout the U.S. and Canada a few years later. Read More
Spring Lake Park Holiday Lights Drive
begins November 28

Opening Night of the 19th Annual Spring Lake Park Holiday Lights Drive is Saturday, November 28! The Lights Drive opens at 5:30 p.m. and closes at 9:30 p.m. The cost is $5 per car.
