WESTERNPORT REGIONAL BAND PLAYS AT THE

VICTORIAN ARTISTS SOCIETY

The Westernport Regional Band is a dynamic community big band with musicians of all ages. With woodwind, brass and rhythm instruments, their repertoire encompasses a wide variety of musical styles, from jazz, swing, Latin to modern compositions.


The Band played in the Hammond Gallery at the Victorian Artists Society on Saturday against the backdrop of the 2023 VAS Winter Select Exhibition.

This is a biennial award which aims to encourage students of all ages to advance in the naturalistic style of portraiture. The 2023 scholarship is for $5000, which will enable the winning artist to further progress their painting practice.
