From Our Principal

Good morning WHS families,

Thank you to the families that attended AP/IB/CCP Night at Westlake High School. It was a great evening of information and sharing as we work our way through the scheduling process for 2018/2019 school year.  Included at the bottom of this blast is a list of events that relate to Westlake High School as we move through the remainder of the year.  While this list doesn't include all events, many of the larger events are listed.  For a complete list, please view our district calendar here .

As we move towards February, I would like to remind you that the Westlake High School Center Stage Players will present "Faith County" on February 1-3 at 7 pm in the Westlake High School Performing Arts Center. Additionally, we have all-day conferences on February 14.  More details will follow later in the week.

Last week, Mr. Cipollone and I presented a proposal to the Westlake Board of Education to introduce a drug testing program at Westlake High School for the 2018/2019 school year.  While we have held a parent forum and answered informal questions there and through phone calls, please know that we also welcome any additional questions that you may have. We will continue to share information as our formal proposal takes shape in the coming weeks.  I also encourage you to reach out to the school board members if you are in support or against the program. They welcome the feedback as they consider this decision.

As always, I encourage you to review the WHS announcements.  They are a great source of information that are updated daily.  Finally, I encourage all families to review the Westlake City Schools Profile.  It is filled with lots of information related to our school district.

Have a wonderful week!
