Water and Sewer Notifications

Dear Westlake Residents,

In the last few days, many of you have received a letter from the City of Keller regarding your water and sewer service. The notice says Keller has filed an application with the Public Utility Commission of Texas to amend its water Certificate Convenience and Necessity (CCN) to no longer serve the Town of Westlake.

They are releasing their rights to provide water and sewers to those Westlake customers even though the City of Keller currently does not serve Westlake residents for water or sewer services. Westlake’s CCN already includes the area Keller is decertifying, so the Town already has those rights to service Westlake residents and will continue to do so. That means there will be NO service interruption during this transition.

Below is a map of those impacted. It encompasses the area bounded on the north by Highway 170, on the east by Solana Boulevard, on the south by Fawkes Lane, and on the west by Highway 377. That area is shaded with purple stripes.

All residents affected by this change have already been notified. If you haven’t received a letter in the mail, this does not impact you. Also, if you live in this area and have a septic tank, don't worry. You will continue to use your current tank and not be moved to the Town’s wastewater system. Bottom line: No Westlake customers will see any disruptions or quality of service changes due to this switchover.
