New WCCS Development Employees & A Retirement Announcement!
|
|
As some of you may already know, our current Director of Development, Lisa Barlow, will be retiring this June after 34 years of serving in Christian education. We are so grateful for her service to our school and the way she has poured herself into this role - encouraging a spirit of unity and generosity within our WCCS community. We are also excited for her as she enters this new chapter of her life filled with grandchildren and time spent with family! Please join us in congratulating her!
It is also with great enthusiasm that we announce the two individuals who will be partnering together in the Development Office. Our new Director of Development will be Mr. Steve Kane. Steve will be joining WCCS on July 1. He is the father of five WCCS alumni and has served on the Board of Trustees many times throughout the years. In fact, he is currently the Chairman of the Board, but will withdraw from his position in order to serve as the WCCS Director of Development on a part-time basis. Steve has had a passion for serving the school in some capacity for quite some time and has recently felt the Spirit calling him to this position in particular.
WCCS will now also have a part-time Associate Director of Development, Mrs. Lauren Serna! Lauren is new to the area but has substantial experience in collegiate development offices and fundraising. Lauren is also a parent of a current 7th grade daughter as well as a rising 3rd grade daughter. Lauren has already begun training for her new role here!
We can’t wait for you to learn more about these two individuals and the passion they have for furthering God’s Kingdom and purpose at WCCS! Look for more details on our website and social media soon as we spotlight both Steve and Lauren in their new roles. Please welcome them to our campuses and pray for successful transitions for both as they seek to serve the Lord by blessing the school.
